The only thing I could find was that he died while being robbed in Jamaica. How true that is, I dont know. Doesnt say if he was shot, stabbed or even beat to death or what, but I always wondered.

I can't help you either. Buddy Randell played sax and sang lead vocal on Lies. It was a pretty big hit for them and many of us thought it was The Beatles when we first heard the song on the radio.
They were a local group from New Jersey. I saw them perform in person on a telethon in New York City. They could rock! Here's an early take of Lies with them setting down the instrumentals...

I was adopted by Buddy in 1965, when he married my mom Ruth, his first wife. They were married until January 1969 when the divorce was final. Last I had heard from him was when I was 16. Next time I heard of him was when he died, and his band ate John Charles called my mom to tell her. I believe he told me he died of a heart attack. I still have fond memories of living in Burbank with my mom and him. Met a lot of famous people back then. I'm surprised I Remember as much as I do since I was only 5 when they got married. I still listen to The Knickerbockers on occasion. Jimmy Walker, the drummer is doing gigs in Las Vegas.

That's fascinating Brenda. Can you recall any of the people that you met back then?
Thanks for the response.

I met Bill at a local fellowship in Hackensack NJ. in the 80's. He was part of their worship team still playing sax. They helped me put together a demo I'd written titled "Be ye also ready". We spent an entire Saturday laying tracks. I had an extremely low budget but they all lovingly agreed to complete the project. I found Bill to be a really humble brother. I had no idea what a musical powerhouse he was. For the past 2 days I've read bios and you tubed performances of the Knickerbockers, The Royal Teens and trying to find materials on The Jerusalem Rivers. I found that very old and ruff demo cassette recently and smiled when hearing Bills solo at the end. That's what prompted me to do the research.

Breaking Benjamin is my favourite rock-band of 90s. They had so many hit songs! The ones I remember are 'The Diary of Jane', 'Tourniquet' and their hit 'So Cold'. These are real masterpieces, not fake like today! And it is awesome that Breaking Benjamin have a tour in 2019-2020! And I'm going to attend Breaking Benjamin concert in 2020. The concert dates is here: Breaking Benjamin tour dates. Check it out and maybe we can even visit one of the concerts together!

"Brenda Crandall-Nixon" is BS. Buddy's first wife was Sandra. I know someone who is cousins with Sandra, the first wife, so maybe he was married to a Ruth, maybe he wasn't, but this is totally bogus. Nice try. Also note how she never says anything about her "father" never contacting her even though she was allegedly adopted.
