Plenty of great girly singers in the 60's, Dusty, Cilla, Petula, Sandie, Lulu, Cher, Mama Cass, Dianna Ross, Gladys Knight.......the list goes on. I like them all but I think Dusty had a lot of class and she was probably my favourite

Ohhhhh!!!!!!! The love that is Dusty! I listen to her every time I drive! I absoloutely adore that woman! She has such a beautiful smokey voice and You Dont Have to Say You Love Me is beautiful. My favourite one of hers (well, not hers hers) is her version of Yesterday When I Was Young.

I guess maybe it depends on who I've been listening to. Today was a Jefferson Airplane kind day so maybe now it's Grace Slick. I don't do well with these "who is your favorite..." questions. LOL

One of the most beautiful songs ever written:

But back to Jackie DeShannon. She wrote and recorded When You Walk In The Room in 1963...
That sound influenced several Liverpool groups like The Searchers...
and Billy J. Kramer & The Dakotas...
Jackie DeShannon was asked by The Beatles to open for them on their 1964 United States tour.

When You Walk In The Room is still a popular song today. Liz Phair sang it in an episode of American Dreams... I kind of like her...a lot! Kev, mate, you'll like this...
